The Product Journey
Ideation
You’ve identified a problem you want to solve, but there are typically many ways to solve it. Lets look at the market, competition, talk to potential customers, and really identify a niche where we can shine!
Validation
Before we start paying expensive salaries to build the product, we’ll run some experiments to validate our idea and ensure there is demand. Landing pages, social media campaigns, waitlist, scorecards, etc.
Go-to-Market Strategy
It is also important to start on a go-to-market strategy early on, as we need to start thinking about distribution as soon as possible. “First-time founders focus on tech, second-time founders focus on distribution!”
Architecture, Design
The first step of building your product involves developing the data model, identifying the application architecture, and iteratively working through a design, i.e. with wireframes or a mock ups in Figma.
Development
We’ve identified the problem worth solving, have some interested customers we can continue to engage with for feedback, have bounced the designs off them, now we can start developing and testing!
About Me
In too many projects, the focus is on feature development, with the hope that sales would follow once the product was completed.
I have come to the realization that sales is a journey, not a destination, and immersed myself in learning audience building, demand generation, and go-to-market strategies.
Now I help founders succeed by combining proven product validation and go-to-market strategies with deep technical expertise in a pragmatic approach to product development.
I have worked with clients from fabrication to healthcare, built SaaS products with Stripe platform fee splitting, integrated with and built a ground up single sign-on system.

Project History Breakdown
Over the past decade, I have led the design, architecture, and development of 20 software applications
11 were commercially successful and are still in use.
9 saw successful development completion but had limited user adoption and market success
9 were published as mobile apps to app stores (not a prerequisite for success!)
7 had eCommerce (Stripe integration) or in-app purchases
11 had an administrative dashboard & client front-end
1 had a rich, complex gamification engine
1 was certified for online gaming
3 were high-availability
2 had AI integrations
The failure of the other 9 was always caused by lack of focus on distribution.
